Hello. I have a sick turkey. I noticed last week that she wasn't going off with the other turkeys to eat grass like she usually does. I picked her up and noticed that she was very light, too light for a turkey her size. She also has bubbles in her eyes. She also has yellow poop. She is now not eating as much and is standing huddled up with her head pulled in.

She's been sharing a pen with a turkey who has just gotten over fowl pox. Also, two of my turkeys have infectious synovitis. She is also sharing a pen with three chickens who are getting over fowl pox. We've been giving our turkeys 1 tbsp. of Tetroxy and mixing it with water in a milk jug. We've been giving them Tetroxy for a while now but I stopped one time for a few days. She seems like she is getting fowl pox now because at the bottom of her wattle a liitle bit of it is starting to turn yellow.

Today is the worse I've seen her.

Update: I found her dead in the pen today. Can someone please help me determine what she died of?

Thank you for your help.

You will have to give her something stronger than a water soluble antibiotic. If she has gotten too light, it may be hard for her to recuperate. Tractor supply, Tylan 200 injectable...if she is a small hen, 1 1/4 cc injected into the breast every day for 5 days - alternate the side each day so she won't get too sore on one side. If she is a large hen, give1 1/2 cc.

It is an antibiotic that treats a number of ailments. I don't think any of us will be able to determine what caused your poor girl to expire. She's been hiding that she was ill for quite a while if she had lost most of her weight. Sorry for your loss. Keep a sharp eye on everyone else in your pen.
