Tidy up and make sure there is no food the mice can eat.
If they have no food they will go.
Put you bird cage out of their reach.. and put something around the cage bottom so no bird food gets out onto the floor for them to eat.
Put all feed, your birds, and your own.. in sealed plastic containers.. something they can't chew into. After a week or 2 they should have gone.
Never leave any food for other animals laying about either.

We used sticky traps when we had mouse problems. don't use them if you have cats, dogs, toddlers, etc, that can get to them.

use peppermint leaves around entry and feeding places
