question on grit....if the birds only get feed and no grass and veg food....do they need grit as well...my understanding was no supplement grit was needed when only giving the birds commercial feed...? maybe a dumb question but figured I would ask it...I do have grit...just wondering...the peafowl and pheasants do have access to it tho....only the chickens that are free range do...
 
I give grit to caged birds that I give whole grains to. Any bird that free ranges doesn't normally need it, 'cause they seen to find enough in the dirt. Be careful, too much grit can cause a gizzard impaction. How much is too much? That I don't know.

K another question im getting the safeguard as soon as i head back to the feedstore for feed but can i still eat the eggs from the birds im going to be treating?

Many people say to wait 14 days after the last treatment.
