my bantam cochins how should i separate them (breeding)

I have two roos

a birchen and a splash I have ten girls to separate between them ... three are easy because the are the same color as the roos ..

one birchen hen . two splash hens

so for them others .. ( two are silkies but they are going with the cochins until I pick out a boy and some more lady friends in the spring )
1 black
1 blue
1 buff
1 um blue and red ?
one partridge(silky)
one buff (silky)
and one white silky cochin mix ...

how would everyone else separate them ..
I have two pens to separate them from the laying flock...
id rather keep them kinda even but they don't have to be ..

The black and blue are easy too, put them in with your splash. Blue does not breed true, so you can keep them all together. Here's a chart that explains what you will get when you cross them:

Something to keep in mind while you're breeding your splash, as you breed them together, they will dilute. Meaning their lovely blue splashes will get lighter and lighter the longer you breed them together. This is why its a good idea to breed them to blue instead of to each other. You'll get less splash chicks doing it that way, but the ones you do end up with will be better quality color wise (most of them anyway, genetics are a funny thing). I'm not sure whats going one with the blue bird with the red head, but I'd put her in the blue pen as well. You'll likely end up with chicks that will leak red, which is undesirable in blues, but you could keep the ones with the least leakage and eventually breed it out or just sell them as pet quality to someone who wants something fun to add to their flock. You could add a blue and/or splash hen to your birchen pen and work towards blue birchen, but then you'll have to work towards getting the correct markings back. But, at least then your birchen rooster would have more hens to keep him company.

As for the buff Cochin and the Silkies, where ever you place them, you're going to get mixed colors. *I* would probably put them with the blues too. The blue will dilute any black the chicks show (or not, keeping in mind that blue doesn't breed true. Black, or smut, is common in buff birds and partridge show lots of black). You could end up with some pretty neat buff birds with blue leaking through. With the white bird, no matter where you put her, what she'll throw is anybodies guess. White birds still have color, the white just covers it. Think of a wooden fence, you paint it white and thats what you see, now its a white fence, but underneath its still brown (I hope that makes even a little bit of sense ).

I think that ill put the black and blue hen with mr opie ... and the white hen just because lol and then the little blue and red girl ... and one splash hen

Then the birchen hen the silkies a splash and the buff ... hatch a batch to see what I get :-D.
Then move the random ones around and hatch again

The colors you see on the white one are actually there lol. She's got buff spots and black on her tail
