Layers pellets

Undersized birds, development issues, nutrient deficiencies, kidney problems etc. Layer mix is between 15-17% protein usually. Adult quail breeders need 24% protein. Layer also usually has +/- 3% infused calcium. Quail roosters can suffer kidney issues from being fed so much calcium, they have no way to process it. Basically feeding quail layer pellets would be like raising kids and only feeding them ramen noodles for every meal.

Thanks so which would I need 24% or 30% protein turkey feed?
30% is turkey starter

Either is fine. You don't really ever have to take them off the 30% starter. They are usually the same price and most times stores will carry only 19% flight conditioner and 30% starter, so you'd have to buy one of each and mix them to get closer to 24%.

After a while on the internet ive found places nearby who stock both 24% and 30%.
Thanks for your help.
