Hi
My name is Kassy
I am an artist, and an aspiring country girl. For as long as i can remember I have enjoyed playing in the woods and gullies around my grandparents house. I am a huge animal lover and want to rescue every thing I see. I am a painter, a graphic designer and photography, a do all. I get most all my inspiration from nature, and i dream of having a studio in the middle of nowhere, to create and discover in and build a loving creative family full of fun.
I live in NW Arkansas, just over the border from SW Missouri where my Husband (recently married, after 7 years and having a blast during our first year of marriage, tehehe) and I have recently completed the shell of our Tiny house on 15 acres of pure heaven! Our most recent update includes, being almost finished with drywall and the cement board for behind the wood stove and insulation in the living area, and a row of house wrap up on the outside. Our dream is to gather up as much land as we can, and create a wonderful safe haven for our family.
I work full time at a fancy office job that i would gladly give up to finish the tiny house quicker, LOL. I work using my Graphic Design degree, and other odd design jobs around town to help fund finishing the house as much as i can. We live about 30 mins away from the cabin currently and take as many opportunities as possible to make trips out there.
We have a lot of fun planning and talking about our future plans. We talk about our garden plans constantly and the animals we want to home. This weekend we were talking about the areas around the house that need cleared and prepped for the garden.
My Husband is an idea man, working towards his goal of growing and making everything we use sustainable and reusable as much as possible. I have a lot of fun watching him and taking in everything he tells me. He is very smart and takes in information much better then i am, we are two sides of the same coin, and we make a great team. I consider him the brain and I am the eyes.
I want to take in everything I can and learn so much, my interest include, alpacas, chickens, rabbits, all show animals. I love flowers, exp wild ones, and trees of all kinds. I want to learn to weave and start canning everything, we love cooking and looking at old recipes. I would love to be a arborist and know as much as i can! I plan to start a blog about our adventures in tiny house building so far!
I just can't wait to be out in the woods with my sweet husband, where we will live the dream, i mean how can you not have fun with your best friend in the woods?!
Sometimes it's so hard waiting to finish it, but its worth it and so fun to plan all the time.
I can't wait to hear what everyone else enjoys about the simple life, because I have never been more fulfilled then when we started this journey.
