Possibly vent gleet?

FWIW, so far all of my gleet hens have had worms and or a bacterial infection, not yeast infections, and the one that did have a yeast infection, did not have gleet. :idunno

@casportpony Do bacterial infections always cause loose and smelly droppings? My hen's droppings are normal, not smelly, and there's no bad smell to the white discharge.

ETA: Her symptom of gleet is due to trauma to her vent.

I quit giving the colloidal silver. I researched it more and decided that's it's not safe internally, but only externally. I have to think about continuing the treatments into her vent, because I don't know if it's necessary, and I don't want to cause her unneeded stress. I put some GSE in her drinking water.

She acts like her normal self and is laying.

For a while now,a couple of my birds have had what I think is gleet. They don't all lay everyday either. I clean their coops when needed and give fresh water but they still have it. I have 5 birds, the two white ones have gleet and the other 3 brown have patchy feathers. But none have both. I've washed their rears with dawn soap like suggested,it improved maybe a week. I'm confused on what to do. They all act healthy and happy though.

Can you get one to a vet?

Does anyone know what it looks like when it's healing? I have applied athlete's foot cream to the (bald) area. I've done 2 treatments so far and it looks similar to dry skin peeling off. Is this normal? I haven't confirmed vent gleet, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. I don't want to continue this treatment if the skin peeling isn't normal. Kind of reminds me of when sunburn peels.
