Help with my sick rooster please

I have a 10 month old banty rooster who suddenly has not crowed in over 2 days and is just listless. Doesn't even get excited about treats brought to the pen. Tonight he was just laying in the pen & I picked him up and he never fussed - which he usually does if I try to pick him up -- he just laid in my arms. Something isn't right for sure and I don't know what do to. I have had him since he was 2 days old and sure do not want to lose him -- he's my 'baby' along with my hens. He may be going to the other side. Your options to take him to a vet are expensive at that. SORRY TO HEAR .

I would give him electrolytes, gatorade, or pedialyte orally, getting him to drink by dipping his beak, or give him a few drops with a dropper or syringe. Has he been wormed recently? Have you added any new birds recently to your flock? Check his skin especially around the vent area for signs of lice or mites. Check his crop to see if it is empty. Offer him egg, plus his usual feed. Keep him warm by bringing himinside if possible. Does hehave any respiratory symptoms?

Welcome to our flock! Check your roo from head to toe for injuries. Especially look at his legs. Keep him inside and look for symptoms like bad poop, not eating, not drinking, pale comb/wattles, sleeping too much, nasal or eye discharge etc. Keep checking your thread for answers, it may take a day or so and keep posting symptoms. It is much better for security, for you to post and get answers here. It also widens the range of people/knowledge available to help.

He has never been wormed to my knowledge and his feet and lets appear to be ok. His comb/wattles are still good and red but he is just listless -- I will get some liquids for him tomorrow and have already thought I would bring him inside, although he is in a heated coop but will bring him inside and try to give him the liquids and some mealworms along with his food/corn. I'm not sure about his drinking/eating but will keep a close eye on him tomorrow for sure. Thank you for the advice and I will update with anything new.
 
I will do anything - even the vet -- if I can help him. I can't bear to lose him. I'm going to bring him inside and give him some Pedialite and see if that helps along with some mealworms. I have to try everything and anything -- just can't watch the worse case happen if I can help it. He is my 'baby boy' and I will do whatever it takes.
