Well, my much-anticipated chicks are finally here
Got them a couple of days ago, but despite my years of reading and prepping for this moment, it's been a steep learning curve so far — panicking on the drive home (OMG, are they warm enough!?), panicking when I put them in the brooder (OMG, are they dying!? ... Or just falling asleep?), and panicking about treating my bent-toed runt (OMG, he's on his back pedalling the air!). Finally, all of them have survived their first 48 hours here, and seem to be active and healthy, so I'm ready to share some photos
I have 3x Buff Orpingtons, 2x Cream Legbars, 3x Speckled Sussex, 2x Dominiques, and 4x Ameraucanas:
