Did we accidentally get the wrong bird?

I've used Backyard Chicken for a long time for research, but this is one question I simply cannot find the answer to. We ordered 15 Brown egg layers from Murray McMurray. We think we've identified most of those who survived (a fun game indeed) but two we're not sure about. They're the right color for white rocks, but they're growing extremely fast. They must be double the size of the other Rocks in the group and they're supposed to be the same age. Is it possible we accidentally received some meat birds instead, or do White Rocks grow faster than Partridge/Buff Rocks?
 
post a pic if you can, people are very good at identifying babies on here. If they are not sure what it is, they can usually tell you what its not.
 
I had a couple of white rocks from McM in the past and they weren't noticeably different than the other colors growth wise... does make you wonder if they are meat birds(which they really should not have in an egg layer group) or if there were extra birds, maybe packing peanuts added for warmth ... of the other breeds maybe white jersey giants? ... they are usually bigger than the rocks.
 
Just from my experience mine grew at about the same rate as my barred rocks and other standard sized chicks.
 
I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. We ordered 25 total, received 27, and lost 4. Of the ones that are left, we know who pretty much everyone is but these guys. They're huge for being just 2 weeks old and they almost crawl across the ground. They also lay down to eat at the feeder and show little interest in doing normal chick things like scratching and playing. I've heard that's what meat birds do, so I'm a bit worried. I'll get the picture posted tomorrow if I can.

Oh dear that sounds like the descriptions I have read of meat birds.
 
without pictures, it is nearly impossible with the hundreds of breeds and mixes out there, to tell what you might have. we can play the what its not game, taking out the obvious game bird class. take out silkies and their mixes, and all the reds. take out all the buff, black, and bard,. etc.
 
If you can post a photo, I'll be able to help. From your description, it does sound like they could be meat birds.
