Four of my five are growing great except for the tiny one. I hope you tell in the pics. She is half the size of the others, is eating okay, drinking and pooing alright, but just doesn't seem to be growing. She is developing new wing feathers to some extent but not as far along as the others and now she is limping for no discernible reason. What may be the cause of her delayed growth? And what do I do? And why would she be limping? She sleeps a lot more then the others, but also can be pushy when needed. Also she is very heat seeking. So I know that's a lot of questions but an insight would be greatly appreciated.

They are two weeks old on Monday.

Hi. just some thoughts. Is she of the same variety as the others??? She also may be a runt. Nothing that you can do to change that. You say she is eating well, I, with my limited knowledge on chick nutrition would try and give her cooked egg yolk to eat. I don't think it would hurt.??? WISHING YOU THE BEST.

Mine was exactly like that and it was a respiratory tract infection hold her up to your ear see if you hear clicking. It may be nothing and just small because she's small but I thought I'd throw my recent experience in there.

Thank you. I've tried that but none of them show the least interest in it. :/
Yes she's the same as one other one we received. Brownish bantam.

I listened but it was hard because she won't stop cheeping!! Ha! Would it be a frank clicking or something more subtle? Thanks doe the all the help and ideas you guys!!

Well if she will stop chirping eventually lol it's a small click but hearable

You know I do near what could clicking. High pitched, sharp. Can I treat them in any case? From what I've seen it sounds pretty intensive. I'll go to the feed store tomorrow and pick up an antibiotic. I still have some water mixed Amprol from the hatchery. It's a week old. Can I still us it?

If you go look at my threads I've started you'll find tons of advice that people gave me (I caught UT too late to save my chick) but they gave me lots of information the antibiotic I used was oxytetracycline I got it at tsc.

Thanks so much. I read through them then ran to the feed store and picked up some antibiotics and electrolyte they offered some good advice also. I'm just going to give them all electrolytes and time. See what happens. These five are supposed to be bantams but I'm wondering if only the little one is and rest are standard size. That would be pretty funny!! Thanks for all the advice and support!!
