we are in need of a little help please
one of our 17 week chickens is very vocal in the morning starting to think its a cock , any help gratefully received . it the black one in picture , also any ideas of what breed they are ?

Glad you could join the flock! I would say yes it looks like a cockerel as for breed I'm not sure I see you have already posted in the what breed gender section I'm sure some one will be along to help you indentify them.

X2 on Yorkshire coop's comments. Looks like a roo. Do post in the what breed/gender forum to see if you can get identification.

I hate it when females morph into roosters. Seems to happen more and more every day. My theory is the males pretend to be girls till you get attached to them. Then they surprise people thinking they won't get dumped. It doesn't work that way.
