So I am pretty new to this site and I posted when I joined about my chickens and I thought TSC had labeled them wrong. Well it turns out, they are just a new breed. If anyone has any information on these, especially how to tell gender please let me know!! I am going to post some pics for comparison also.
This is the one we think is a rooster because it is taking longer to get feathers.
This is Bertha. She is the only one with a name so far. She is the biggest and most friendly.
This is one we aren't sure of gender due to its bright red comb.

This was when we had had them a week or two. They are around 2-2.5 months old now.

Yours look a lot like mine! They're about the same age...I am curious about how they'll turn out, too. A couple of mine are roos, I think. They have been chest bumping each other and doing the beak to beak stare down. Still too early to tell.

We got ours end of March so they are around 8-10 weeks? They seem to have grown fast. I think some of mine are roos too. Not sure if I will just sell them or maybe have them processed. I emailed the hatchery and all they would tell me was that due to trademark they couldn't tell me the cross but that they were descended from Australorp. Also that in a few weeks the roos should have the very distinct combs and wattles.

Interesting! I can see the Australorp in some of my black ones...they look really fluffy like the black aussie girls tend to. Looking at the other breeds Hoover Hatchery has it looks like the red could come from Red Rangers or Rhode Island Reds. My money is on Red Ranger...

I am so new to this chicken thing I would not even have a clue. I am so intrigued by them though. LOL! And my girls are loving it. They don't even mind feeding and watering and cleaning the coop!
