baby duck with lots of problems

What a great update Patty, he sure is beating the odds we're all pulling for the day when he doesn't need that PT board any longer. Is he flipping less?4 weeks give him a birthday kiss from Me.

and of course Que Sera would want to keep tabs on how she is looking making sure every feather is in place.

you know how us girls are.
I gave Turbo that kiss for you. I don't think he likes kisses. Que Sera loves to kiss him. If he is in the boards she starts kissing him he will turn around to get away from her.His flipping is about the same. If he would lean down and take little steps he would do a lot better. He gets excited and throws his head back and then there is the flip.

They both got in the tub today. They really enjoyed their selves. Turbo looked like a little tug boat swimming around Que Sera. Then they went outside for more PT training. It was so hot they didn't need the blow dryer. Just a little fluff with the towel and they were dry in no time.

I think Que Sera stayed inside this morning to take care of her new feathers coming in. She is turning white. The only solid white duck we have is Clyde the Pekin. She may get a little dark patches around her eyes from her mommy.

Have a great evening.

Okay you know we have to have pics at least 1x a week to keep up with how fast they change. Maybe we already had Pics this week I cannot keep up with time.

Hopefully as he matures he'll be able to control his neck muscles better and not throw his head back and flip when he does flip can he right himself now? Just wondering if he is able to do some things now that he wasn't in the beginning.
Did Turbo ever start peeping or quacking?

Okay so Clyde is daddy to Que Sera, who is mama what breed?

Hope you all have a great evening too.

Aaaw, thank you Patty for kissing him. It's sweet Miss Lydia wanted you to kiss him too . Heehee. He is a funny little guy not liking kisses. I don't blame Que Sera for kissing him though. It is so obvious she loves him and is not bothered at all that it isn't reciprocated. I am stoked he is a good little swimmer. And if he is trying to get away from her in the PT boards wouldn't that be making him stronger? Are her feathers painful as they come in? I bet Clyde is gorgeous. I love Pekins. Just big cuddly sweeties all around. Soft and cute.

Turbo started out this morning eating by himself but I had to assist him. It's just so exciting to get up and eat breakfast sometimes you just contain yourself. You have to jump across your food bowl or land chest first in your water bowl.

They went outside for the PT work. Que Sera was her usual loving self. Giving Turbo kisses which he doesn't like one bit. Que Sera decided that Mrs. Brown's tail feathers looked to cute and she couldn't resist nibbling on them. Mrs. Brown turned around and gave her the stink eye. She is one of the teenager chickens. I asked Hubbie if he would go in the back yard and get one of the baby ducks to see if Que Sera would play with it. I hear the awfullest commotion. Hubbie doesn't get just one baby duck he herds the whole family out to the front yard. Both Momma ducks, 2 babies and the Daddy duck. Que Sera couldn't hug my ankle fast enough. Que Sera cannot understand why those Momma ducks have to quack so loud. I had to herd them back to the back yard where they gladly went.

I hope everyone has a nice day it's awfully hot here.

Patty
I love your stories.

Turbo ate like a pig this morning and ate his lunch outside. He loves to picnic and the teenager chickens love when he picnics. Que Sera stayed inside while Turbo did his Pt on the boards. He made several loops back the other direction which saves me trips to turn him around. I opened Que Sera's cage door and she didn't come out. I guess she wanted to hang out with Princess. That is what we call her refection in the mirror.

Still haven't heard from Etsy since they asked me the color of the harness. My grandson will have to take pics of him when he gets it.

Turbo was 4 weeks old yesterday. I used to be afraid of looking in his cage every morning thinking that maybe he passed away. He is beating the odds and hopefully one day he will walk.

Have a great day all.

Patty
Oh, so touching Patty. So sweet. Turbo. Yay. 4 weeks old and from how he is progressing so well with his eating, swimming and PT he is on his way to living a long life. I wish that harness would show up for you guys.

OK, the Princess comment you made was really funny. Good for Que Sera. She knows cute when she sees it.

We need another photo shoot I'll let Robbie know. When Turbo flips in the boards he can right himself by pushing off on the boards. If he is on the ground he cannot flip himself. His little legs will be going 50 miles per hour. Turbo is stronger then he used to be. I think he is trying harder to walk he is pushing himself more. He is more alert not sleeping so much. He is growing not by leaps and bounds but slowly. He was eating just the eggs off the top of his crumbles now he eats the eggs and he's tearing into the crumbles also. I think he knows he's different from Que Sera and trying real hard to walk.

Que Sera's mommy is a mix of runner and her daddy is a black and white duck. One day he just showed up in the yard. Someone decided they didn't want their duck any longer and they put him in our yard. I went to feed the chickens and ducks and a spotted duck walked by me in the yard. I knew we didn't have a black and white spotted duck. So anyway his name is Spot. lol

Turbo still makes the squeaky toy noise. It's pretty deep sounding. Sometimes he does it when he's eating. Que Sera is very vocal especially when she is separated from Turbo. She loves to talk and Turbo on the other hand hardly ever makes a sound.

Sounds like you have a male female there.

He is trying so hard that is great because him doing it means he is determined. Just makes my heart feel good to come here and see the update and hear what Turbo has done today.
Love them both.

and I think we need some pics of the whole flock I know I'd love to see them. Robbie has his work cut out for him!

Que Sera is totally in love with Turbo. It doesn't seem to stop her one bit from smothering him with kisses when he trying to run the opposite direction. Yes he is getting stronger from running and he has learned to turn the opposite direction in the boards to get away from her. She doesn't act like her new feathers are bothering her. Clyde is gorgeous and I'm happy he is her father. He sit patiently waiting for the mamma duck to hatch those babies. Sometimes he would even get in the little house to sit next to Momma on the nest. Que Sera was a late hatcher and the momma had already left the nest when she was pipping. I put her on a pillow and encouraged her to come out of that shell. When she come out I put her in Turbo's cage under his light in his little box. It was love at first sight for her with Turbo.

I'm pretty sure we have a male and female but I could be wrong. I know I love his determination and I believe if there is a will there is a way. I've got to feed the chickens and ducks to their all waiting for me.

I told Robbie about the flock pictures and I'm sure he will get around to it eventually.
