Here in Texas it's been flooding like crazy. There was a huge storm this evening and I saw 3 baby blue Jays in the yard in a puddle during the storm not moving. I picked them up and they were ice cold, soaking wet, not moving and eyes closed. It was so weird. It's like they were in a zombie state frozen in place unable to move. I decided to put them in the incubator, sure they would die anyways but I had to try, and then went out to eat. When I came back they were completely different birds!! Moving and chirping. Should I put them back outside? There is a bird rescue here but don't they look old enough to be outside? Also I was about to hatch some silkies and quail. Should I clean the bator, and how should I do it? It's Styrofoam.

Have you put the jays outside? They are not old enough to feed themselves, but old enough to be out of the nest. If you put them outside the parents may come and feed them, but here again, with a storm the parent jays may be gone. Jays are pretty easy to feed if they will open their mouths; you will find a great deal of information on the net, I am sure.
