Oyster Shells

Totally agree with Mac in Wisco....no oystershell or any calcium supplement until they are ready to lay. Also, corn is not needed for deep colored yokes....most quality layer feed has marigold extract added for that purpose...neither one improves egg guality however.

Bumping --

Asa just started laying this week but she's never liked the layer pellets ever since she was a baby and when I feed her eggs back to her she doesn't eat much of the shell. She's so picky. Should I try oyster shells with her? Also she seems to get drained after laying, she takes a short nap right after and then has energy afterwards so I'm not too concerned but I was wondering what I could use to help her so she doesn't feel so wiped out, would something like Nutri-Drench help with that?
