Would like some advice. We just got six 2-3 week old baby chicks, the day after we got them, we noticed one has a brownish-black toe nail and part way up it's toe. It's not swollen, the chick is acting completely normal! Eating, drinking and running around. I don't know that much about chicken...
Hello!
I noticed these dark spots on my Swedish flower hen’s toes. They are symmetrical on both feet. I brought her inside and soaked her feet in an epsom salt bath to get a better look. I’m wondering if this is a case of bumble foot or could they just be callouses? I also noticed that my other...
I usually check my girls really good at least 2x a week... if not daily for anything odd. I noticied today one of my sweet polish hens had weird sores on her legs and the bottom of her feet had scabs the right foot was/is worse. I washed and soaked her legs in Epson salt, dawn antibacterial soap...
Two of my Golden Laced Wyandottes have bumble foot on both feet. One of them was pretty bad, the other 3 feet were early cases. I’ve done the epsom salt bath, pulled the plug out and pulled off any black callousing, sprayed with vetericyn, bandaged them all up, and have them both separated from...
Hi y'all. I been treating my hen's bumblefoot for about two weeks now. Before she used be in slight discomfort when walking but now she's running and walking just fine.
For treatment:

Hi guys
Hoping someone with experience can help and calm my chicken loving nerves
One of my girls I discovered on Saturday limping. Checked her feet and it’s the dreaded bumblefoot. Been doing lots of research so have been Epsom salt bathing everyday twice a day, using Vetericyn, iodine, saline...
Three weeks ago, I noticed this black spot on the bottom of my chicken foot (just saw it on accident)..... I looked yesterday and it's still there (pic from yesterday). Not any better OR worse. Just this little pinhead of a scab spot. I think she MIGHT have the exact same situation on other...
I have a three-year-old rodie hen that has or (had until a little bit ago) the black scab. My husband and I removed the scab, but nothing came out besides blood. I read that there is a plug that you have to remove, but nothing came out but blood. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions!
Hello, I have had chickens for 7 years now and am having my first chicken foot issues. My 2yr old EE (Nugget) had what appeared to be the start of a bumble. I removed the black dot after an epsom salt bath, but then noticed that her pad on the same foot seemed hard, slightly misshapen and...
I have a chicken I’ve had since June of this year. She’s my absolute baby and I really don’t want her to go through this pain/die but vet is just not an option in our area. I’m pretty sure this is bumblefoot but still not completely sure. (Pictures attached) Any advice on care or any stories of...
Hello again!
So, I just thought I'd ask, to be proactive.
Over the last year, I have been battling bumblefoot with my hens. I had to do many mini 'surgeries' to drain the bumblefoot, then I would use hen healer ointments/sprays and wrap their feet/foot.
Around 4 months ago, two of my hens...

Hello, I am a beginner chicken owner, and have had chickens for 7 months. I first notified that my chickens had bumble foot mid September. Even worse, all ten of my chickens had it. Some worse than others, but they all had it to some degree. On some chickens they only had it on one foot. That...
