Cinder looked at her. "Okay." She replied, turning toward her den. She brought part of the beaver."Thank you." Blaze said to Cinder. "And I think that I will patrol the border just after sunset." She said, picking up a foreleg and chewing at a burr that had stuck to her paw.
Wind turned her head to look at him and stood up "Follow me, I want you to try something. " She told him.Locust picked up his head. He looked at his adopted mother.

Cloud curled up in her den with her nose buried in her tail to ward off the morning chill. One eye slowly opened, revealing it's stunning blue hue. She rose stiffly and stretched.
Mirage peeked into the den, "Hello Cloud. I saw the caribou. A fine catch."
Cloud gave her tail a half-wag. "Thank you, but it wasn't all my doing. I had help."
Mirage panted slightly, amused, "It's never any one wolf's doing. You did a great job. No need to be modest."
Cloud wasn't sure what to say. She didn't really care for compliments. "Thanks." She said, turning her head away.
