Last but not least, another likely pullet.
Now, I’m a little sad that the two blacks are pullets because a customer asked for a
cochin or cochin mix cockerel around this age… hoping this guy is a cockerel.

I will be happy with 2 pullets and a cockerel but I am hoping this last one is a cockerel so I can give him to the customer.

I stand by my original guess. One boy, two pullets. When you want a boy, you get girls, vice versa

Update!
All three are doing well. The two blacks seem to stick together throughout the day, while Chippy wanders alone for some reason.

It is very hard to get a good picture.. they are so flighty and jumpy now!

My little boy starting crowing yesterday!
Will try to get a video when I can.

He is also beginning to mate with the older members of the flock. I know he’s going to be a beauty.

You’re right! I’m going to have possibly one last hatch this year. Maybe I’ll do another hatch along.
The eggs are going to be from the entire flock so maybe Chippy will father some of the chicks that hatch!

Twix doesn’t like getting her picture taken… I couldn’t get any nice pictures of her.
