I finally got some brown leghorn chicks and got my 1st egg today!
They're 17 weeks old!.

Congratulations! That is super egg-citing! My Leghorns usually start laying at 17 weeks old too.
Now that they've started laying (and our 'rescue geese' have gone to live with their new family) my girls can finally be released with my other chickens! I separated the cockerels 6 weeks ago and added them to my flock of 8 hens.Thank you so much!
