Cockatoos are awsome birds. I never have had good luck with smaller birds that you keep in a cage in the house. Chickens seem to fit the bill for me they seem so much easier to take care of and they are bigger and more hardy is my guess.

My parakeets are worse, they do less than a snail!

I have a cockatiel, and he's rather boring.
Although I love him, he's really aggressive and the only time he'll let me go near him is in Summer when he wants a bath, lol.
