First time hatcher going through the process now! My concern is that out of our eggs, the very first chick to pip appears to have stopped nearly all movement and the membrane is drying out. It's been 24 hours and we've been reticent to open the incubator because there were two others that started. They've both gotten out now and are fairly dried out (probably ready to move to the brooder).

The little chick will still make some noise if I make noise or shine a light around, but the pip hasn't grown since the first couple of very active hours. I can see the beak moving when it makes noise, but there's no pushing outwards like with the others. And the large membrane area is getting darker and darker and is getting rolled around now by the live ones.

How long do we wait before trying to help? The other eggs haven't pipped right now, so I feel like I have a small window of opportunity.
