Well, we found a vet who actually agreed to do surgery for a severely impacted crop on our 2-year old Jersey Giant hen. He pulled out 3.5 pounds (seriously!!!) of sand, gravel, grain and hay, and then flushed and closed her back up. She is on antibiotics, and has food and water in her cage, but has not touched anything yet. The vet recommended chicken liver, but she refuses it. We have offered yogurt, mashed watermelon, and soft catfood (which was the only thing she ate the tiniest bit of). Any other recommendations?

I would try any one of her favorites to get her appetite started. Bread, french toast, .....what does she absolutely go crazy for? Moist and soft of course.
One time one of mine wouldn't eat, and I had to put a pal in with her so she could see someone eating and want some.

You might try droppering some water on top of her beak. A splash of gatorade in the water would help. I'd keep any food soft and so easier to work it's way through.
