A little over a week ago my cat jumped up 3' and reached into the dog crate I have my chicks in and swipe one of my babies on the head.

At the time there was blood on her head but I could not find any other damage. I put vetericyn on the wound. My cat's claws were super sharp at the time.

Today, I noticed that same baby sleeping and listening to one side while she slept, unsteady on her feet, and a little lethargic.I gave her some water in a syringe and I gave her some egg. She ate really well.

Is it possible she has an infection because the claw pierced her cranial vault? Would damage take this long to show if it was not an infection? Should I do anything? Or just let her go? I just don't know what to do.

She is my favorite. The yellow one

Is there a puncture?
Any redness or swelling around the puncture site?

I'd work on hydration first then see if she will eat. If you have Poultry Nutri-Drench give her 3-4 drops twice a day.
No swelling, no redness. There was blood initially, but that was several days ago.

I will get some nutri-drench!

So far so good. She seems to be improving. She actually hopped with both feet yesterday! I am giving her the vitamins twice a day as you suggested and the rest of the flock once a day just to make sure. Thank you for all your help!!!!!

How long should I continue? Couple of weeks? Longer?

May I suggest raw egg yolk, It’s loaded with most healing proteins and everything they need for rapid recovery.
I can do that. Everyone else has always told me NOT do give give them raw eggs so they do not develop a taste for them. Will she forget it??

Yes, I would continue with the vitamins for a couple of weeks.

Glad to hear she's improving!
