Our 5 week old chick from TSC (Easter egger?) is not acting well. We just discovered her like this within the last hour.

Hunched back, tail down, slightly off balance, inactive. Occasionally chirping and pumping her tail. Vent looks clean. No signs of mites. She has been the biggest of the 5 chicks we bought but now feels lighter than the others. She seems to be eating and drinking some. We have not seen her poop.

None of the other chicks are showing any signs yet.

Any ideas on what this could be and how we can treat?

Get some Corid and give 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder in each gallon of water for 5-7 days. Also give her a drench of undiluted Corid orally 0.1 ml per pound daily until she perks up. Coccidiosis is common, and symptoms include lethargy, standing puffed up or hunched, not eating, and runny poops.
