I have seen these kind of injuries before. She was cornered and he pretty much just stood over her pecking at her head. If you want to keep him then I would remove or cover over any corners and give places for the jennies to hide.

It will eventually heal over, keep the ointment on the wound so it stays moist and the skin flexible.
If you need to clean the wound for some reason, I would use Chlorhexidine or Povidone Iodine.

Do you have any antibiotics on hand? If not, it's always a good idea to have a broad spectrum on hand in case of injury. While most wounds will heal very well without antibiotics as long as they are cared for, sometimes medication is necessary to fight infection. Fish Mox (Amoxicillin) would be a good choice to have on hand.
