Hi there,

I do some rehabbing for wildfowl that aren't ready to be returned to the wild and had a greylag goose brought to me at the weekend. It had been taken to a rescue center and looked like it had eye damage and was wobbly on his feet. It received some anti-biotics and eye creams and once things appeared to improve it came to live with out gang.

It's eye however is not good. It's basically blind in this eye and has no concept of anyone approaching until it hears them or turns its head. I wonder if anyone can explain what looks like a loose contact lens that's lifted away from the eye. I'm able to straddle the goose and she relaxes and trusts me as I stroke her and apply eyecream and so was able to take this close-up pic of his eye.

What do you think please? I'll take her to the vet if need be. I'll do what I can for the birds but like to have as much knowledge as I can to better administer immediate resolutions to problems.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Graham
