A hen who cant hold herself up

She wasn't 15 weeks. She was a year and a half. I had to end her suffering a few days ago. I came home from work and she was burning with heat and smelled foul. Probably in a lot of pain too. she couldn't hold herself up. Had to let her go.

Thank you. Hey whataya gonna do. It was quick. Wished it went the other way. Farmers have a saying. Where theres livestock, theres dead stock. Everyone else appears fine so I'm thankful for that.

I look back and it was a couple weeks ago she starting staying on the roost all day. That alerted me but it was her first molt too. Thought she was just having a time with it, it being her first one. She was fine every other way. I brought her some food while she was up there and she'd eat, drink, then come down and go out in the yard for awhile. This was for a couple days. After that she was out with the others all the time. 10 days later she showed obvious signs there was a problem. Isolated her. Started her on meds. Two days later she was in the burn barrel. Bummer
