Ad.doubleclick.net is giving my browser fits when I attempt to follow a link to an article sent to my notification email. Just thought someone on the site should be aware.
I can go directly to backyard chickens but can't follow a link from the email without this popping up and Malwarebytes blocking it.

Are you using an ad blocker?

Can you copy the link from your email and paste it here?
Here's the best I can do for a link.

I do have an ad blocker. However this appears to be related to Malwarebytes deciding that This particular link is bad news. I absolutely won't disabled my malware blocker. That would be stupid of me. But if something like this is happening well, the site admin should at least be made aware. After all, it's their reputation and traffic flow effected.

I have Malwarebytes and it nor I have ever had issues with BYC. I'm wondering why you're being emailed a link to an ad instead of directly to the thread on BYC. Here's what an email notification looks like to me. I can click on the words "Silkie Frizzle" and it takes me right to the post. Are yours similar?

I can open that link just fine with no ad blocker installed.

Can you take a screenshot of the email with the link you are clicking on?

I have no clue why this particular ad gets blocked or why it was emailed to me. And this was in the regular email notification I get from BYC when ever a discussion I'm following has some activity. Thanks for checking the link. No idea why it's making my browser/security have hiccups. But having gotten a nasty virus before off a "reputable" ad supplier I never trust their content to be clean.

It was annoying but not critical since, of course I can always go directly to BYC and check recent activity on discussions I like. I have found in the past that web sites like BYC always contract (and get paid for) their ads through something like ad-double-click or the like and do not have any control over what is offered to their clientele. A rather stupid set up from the customers point of view.
Rather like going to the store and not knowing if the greeter in store clothing handing out coupons at the door is friendly or a mugger and the store not being able to do anything about it.
I do have high security. I do not trust. Been there, done that, lost the money to help me remember not to ever again.

Sure this I can send
As you can see it appears actually be the usual BYC news

That's the first thing I checked.
Here's a snip of the actual email, the one that gives me fits is the Purina iconed one about egg laying. Normally I'd ignore it and just check the Cleaning and Storing Fresh eggs. But was a bit sleepy and clicked below the green square link
