Added eggs while incubating - update: all 6 ducklings hatched and younger egg in incubator

Well I don't know. This is my first incubation. Out of 12 duck eggs, so far 3 have hatched. Today is day 27. They're all pipped tho

I completely forgot to congratulate you with your babies! What kind of ducks are they?

One of my ducklings just pecked through the shell

He went back in the egg right away for some rest

He's out of the egg!

There wasn't enough room in the incubator so while he was hatching I opened the incubator to take out Donsje's egg. Now I put Donsje's egg back and took out the empty shell and hygrometer out of there. I hope that didn't damage the other ducklings/dry out their membranes

As long as you do it super quick they should be fine.
I moved the 3 chicks and 3 ducks into a brooder, but left he newest 3 ducklings in jncubator.
Aren't ducklings the cutest?!?

Alright then. The other eggs aren't really doing anything. The duckling is now resting with his head on the eggs, so adorable!


He just got out of the egg here

Now to make the brooder ready!

Awe it's so cute! My little ducks are resting all over the eggs and each other. I had to move the chicks and 3 of the 6 ducks to the brooder because they were being so spastic!
