Adding Started Pullet(s) for my Bullied Hen?

I think I should find out why Prudence is acting this way in the first place…she was always nice to Minna until they moved into the new setup.
What did the old roosting area look like?
This one is crowded.

I don't know exactly why she is doing this, but can you provide a second roost? If they have the choice of two roosts, too far apart to peck from one to the other, then they may be able to sleep in peace.
Ditto Dat.

I can’t add a new roost, unfortunately. The old roost was definitely longer, but they always slept huddled next to each other. I read on Meyer Hatchery and other sites that each hen should have one foot of roost, which is what they have, if not a little more.

The picture is of the old roost, which was about 3 ft long.

But the old roost allowed them to stay separated due to the length.
Did the bullied stay right next to the bully on the old roost, or were they at different ends?
The new roost puts them within easy reach.

You asked why, and that's why.
