i bought a mating pair or geese today they are 2 years old and the hen is laying.i had to give 50.00 for the pair does this sound right let me know what they go for in your area im from kemp tx

50 sounds like a good price for them. I was looking at a mature male and they were asking 25 a piece for them.

That's pretty reasonable. I paid $200 for 2 mating pairs of Emdens. They are absolutely top notch birds which I'll use for years establishing my flock. Geese and ducks simply are not as cheap as chickens... and frankly, chickens are underpriced. That's why you rarely see small hatcheries in business.
