Aggressive rooster

Hello guys I picked up a rooster that no one wanted a while back he looked to be a couple of months old. Now he is very protective and aggressive towards me. I don't want to be mean and fight him back. Does anyone know how I can make him less aggressive?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist... Generally, nasty boys don't reform, and will only get worse. You can try walking through him, not around, and follow some of the threads here on rehabilitation difficult roosters. IMO it's not worth it, and tends to fail. Mary
