There is a battery farm near us and also a battery hen rescue. The hens from the battery farm are obviously cheaper but i was wondering what is better, actually going yourself or adopting them? How do you choose the hens and do you have to take them to the vet afterwards? Sorry about ruby and Flora

They are cheaper if you get them yourself. They wont give you injured ones, maybe bald ones but it doesn't make a difference. And I have never took mine to a vet after being rescued...

I would love some ex battery hens, but have NO clue where to find them /img/smilies/sad.png

I rehomed 4 ex bat hens through the British hen welfare trust! Go on their website and it explains it all! Go for it is lovely!
