We are alot like you Americans really, Australia is so americanised now, I just had my sister in laws parents visit from The Netherlands, they had been to America previously and they said we are so like America, so there you go. We get all your TV shows CSI, medium, vampire diarys ect, there is a Mcdonalds and Kfc and Hungry jacks/Burger king on every corner.

Let's see. What first comes to mind:

that the citizens had to give up their guns (or did they?)
koalas
kangaroos
the deadliest snakes in the world
the deadliest spiders in the world
boomerangs
The Aboriginese and that funny-sounding horn instrument
hot, dry desert
lots of great white sharks

I have had a blast reading this thread! It is easy to see where these stereotypes come from...... movies etc....... I, like most Aussies. enjoy having a laugh at ourselves and exaggerating our 'traits'.
