This is my favorite hen Raider. I am trying to figure out what she is mixed with. Any ideas? The bottoms of her feet are yellow and she has yellow skin, Bit her legs are slate colored. I'm not sure what kind of comb she has but I would say it is a rose comb. She is independent, but super friendly and inquisitive, she will follow me all over the yard, can fly pretty well and will jump up on my lap if she thinks I have a snack. She is not very big but solid muscle. She is 9 months old and started laying at about 7 months, she lays 2 days and then off for 1 day. Her eggs are a minty greenish blue color and medium size.

The comb is pea comb, sort of. It's what you often get by mixing a pea comb with a single comb.

If you got her from a hatchery, she is probably not a mix of any specific breeds. She probably just has parents who were Easter Eggers, and grandparents who were Easter Eggers, and so on for quite a few generations. They ultimately trace back to some chicken with the gene for blue eggs, and some chicken with a muff/beard on the face (those two might be the same chicken, or they might not be). Other than that, the original mix is anyone's guess.

Raider is cute! Pretty egg too! I have both an Ameraucana and an Easter Egger. Love them.

Is the other one in the pic a Splash Marans?
Yes she is! She is the sweetest girl ever and so heavy compared to the other two. Her egg is the darker of the brown eggs, but I'm not entirely sure the other egg is not hers too, they seem to be getting darker as she goes. She only started laying a week or so ago she is 7 months old.

I got her from a farm as a barnyard mix, I just love her personality so much that I wanted to know what everyone's thoughts were, but it sounds like it is unknown.

I have one coming from Meyer's on May 20th! Where are your girls from? What's your 3rd girl I see her behind Raider there.
Beautiful eggs!

We got Raider from a local farm as a barnyard mix, but my other two were from mypetchicken. The other one is a Salmon Faverolle. She is hilarious!
