I need some assistance. I’m fairly new to assessing Ameraucana SOP quality. Could you guys assist me in assessing them? I have two roosters. The black one is a year old and the lavender is only 22 weeks. I’d like the idea of entering one of them into a show but i’m not sure if they are good enough quality for it to even be worth it.

We don’t breed super intensely yet. I have my personal opinions on their quality but i’m not very good at telling so i’d love everyone’s opinions.

The black one usually has a VERY full muff but the girls have been plucking at it. I also believe they’ve been at his head as well but i’m not 100% sure.

I WILL NOT get offended with any comments or criticism you have on them. I am fully aware they are not first prize kind of birds. I may also post a few of my hens if I get some good pics of them today. Thank you so much! I added multiple pics of them.

I would love to see your hens. I have a young self blue roo and pullet. My other young bantams keep plucking their beards🤣
This is one of our lavender pullets. I don’t have great pics of any of them. I’ll try to get some better ones later. She’s the same age as the lavender rooster.

It would be best to wait until they are both fully mature to compare them.
Im not looking to compare them necessarily. The black boy is for my bbs line. I’m just looking for some general info as to what kind of quality they are. I would love to go to shows (i don’t think they’re ready for that) but I don’t want to if they’re not good enough for it
