Turns out these chicks were Speckled Sussex we have one roo and one pullet

This one isn't a speckled sussex. It's muffed. Do you have an update? I see an Easter egger.

You would call these hatchery grade Rhode island reds. Or production reds. They are not rich enough mahogany for a good quality RIR compared to heritage quality.
