Ant bites from h***

I'm having issues with ants I noticed them when both my chickens were refusing to go out of the henhouse and into the pen which is very odd for my playful hens.I called my youngest pullet over from the outside of the hen house and with in those 5 feet from me and I picked up her up immediately finding ants all over my pullets legs and now on my hands.
What do I do? Are they gonna kill my hens? And how can I get rid of them?

Borax mixed with sugar or syrup or... Mix about 8 parts of the sugar stuff to 1 part borax. You can play with the strength. If you go too strong ants won't touch it. Put it in something low the ants can get in. Keep it out of the chickens reach so they dont get it. Ants will take it back to nest and kill whole nest. Safer than regular pesticides.
