Any creative builders out there that could offer automatic chicken door input?

Any ideas as to how I could flush mount an automatic coop door around the white 2 x 4 trim pieces? You can see how the edges jut out around the door (red arrows). Also pictured: the coop door from the inside.

How about put the automatic door just above the white 2x4? If you don't like how it look, cut another 2x4 to cover the bottom.

I would like to, but then the auto door couldn't close all of the way, and if I added another 2 x 4, the chickens would have to jump over it to get out. Seems like I'm blocked by those pesky 2 x 4s!

Why don't you just put the auto door on the inside? If that isn't to your liking how about just making a box extension to the size you want on the outside??

No, but plexiglass is readily available at Home Depot.
