You guys are very knowledgeable and I reconed you might have an idea of what this might be .... It's in a garden localy, having just landed this morn ....

Ok ... It's a game bird like a pheasant ..... but does anyone know what it is ?

What you have there is a male Reeves pheasant. Beautiful bird!

Yes, a Reeves' pheasant. Native to hill forests of central and eastern Asia. Very lovely.
