Roosters are awesome

My rooster is such a gentleman and he is beautiful. He loves to crow back and forth with a rooster one of the neighbors has. He is very protective of his ladies. Whenever I bring something big into the coop he leads the hens inside and he stays out into the run to protect them.
My rooster is sweet, I can even hold him!
Rhode Island?

I had to look up that breed. This is my first year as a chicken owner, I’m still learning. Hops is gorgeous!
I had never heard of a Buckeye until I saw them at TSC! Everyone who has seen him has thought he was a Rhode Island Red and I can see that.
Thank you! He is a good rooster, he even feeds the baby chicks my mother hen is raising.

If you haven't met Kong yet, I plaster his pics all over BYC...
He's a corndog...

All are Black Copper Marans... King and Kong are 4 yrs old, raised from day olds and the little one has no name yet, 5 weeks old this coming Sunday. I've got 2 flocks, King heads up the mixed flock of 9 girls for Olive Eggers and Marans hybrids hatching eggs and Kong rules his flock of all Black Copper Marans. 9 girls and 8 five week olds that I'm learning to begin breeding and selling.

Omg that is so awesome! How do you do separate flocks? I’ve read about ppl doing it, but have no clue how that works. I would LOVE to have more than one rooster!
