Does anyone know if there are any reputable breeders for Wheaten Penedesencas?
My husband an I plan to move to TN within the next year. We want have at least 10 acres to raise poultry, fruit/nut trees, veggies, berries, etc.
For the poultry, I want to raise rare breeds to help preserve them. I'd like to start flocks of the 4 Penedesenca breeds. After some searching, I've found places where I can get all but the Wheaten Penedesenca. Summer Rose had them, but it looks like they are out of business. I've been trying to comb through the NPIP site, state-by-state, looking for anyone who has been certified that raises them, but I haven't found anyone yet. Heck, I could have even missed them because there is no way to sort. It'd be awesome if I could sort by the breed code! But the extent of the sorting is by state. :/
