Anyone tried shelf liner?

I have had issues with splayed legs and hips with my keets on and off and have switched to the rubbery mesh type shelf liner. I have cut it to fit the bottom of my brooder tub. Really, I have two so when one gets dirty, it is easy to switch out to a clean one. As far as legs go, so far,so good. They seem to get a good grip. Anyone else try this?

I often use shelf liner for the first few days after that it doesn't seem to be necessary. The legs seem to stiffen up and don't seem to bow or spraddle. Aprille

Yes, I'm using shelf liner with my keets also. I've noticed a huge difference in the grip they can get with it vs. without. I plan on continuing to use it until at least 5 weeks of age.
