Are Mountain Quail Rare/Special?

So I was checking out Eggs for sale on Ebay, and ran across 8 Mountain quail eggs for $70 + Shipping! Now they are very pretty, but I wouldn't pay $8.75 for each egg! Are they rare or special? What is it about Mountain Quail that make their eggs so expensive?

WOW! I wonder if that was a mistake?? I can't imagine anyone paying that much, especially if they were going to be shipped. Although I will say that the aviary pictured in the auction is one of the nicest ones I've ever seen.

I got some off of Eggbid... 12 each Valley and Gambel quail eggs (24 total) for $30 shipped. You can do better than that...

Sounds about right for Mt.Quail eggs, they are very expensive!! They are about $90 a pair. The guy i talk to about valleys also raises Mountain quail and he said the babies are VERY tough to keep alive, much tougher than any other quail, he said it took him years to figure out how to decrease the mortality in the chicks.
