I have 3 blue red cubalaya Pullets/cockerels that I purchased from ideal poultry. They hatched on April 2nd, 2019. For the cubalayas, I ordered 3 pullets. I’m really hoping that I have pullets because ive read the roosters are very aggressive (which I can’t have), and Ideal discontinued many breeds this may, including the cubalayas, so there is no really no chance of getting any more. Id really appreciate anyone’s help.

1 & 2 are pullets and 3 is a cockerel, you have a trio. They aren't Blue Reds though they are Wheatens.
Thank you! I ordered them and they were supposes to be blue-red. I guess hatchery stock will be hatchery stock! Lol. Thanks for the reply, I was really hoping the first two were pullets!

As was mentioned, 1 & 2 are pullets , 3 is a cockerel. With Cubalayas, the color is called BBRed or Blue Red, and not wheaten (despite resembling wheaten). 1 & 3 are Blue Red, 2 is BBRed (and has what we call smut - excessive black pigment on a female).

Hope that helps!

I wasn't aware of that. I guess they are Blue Reds then. Odd that Cubalaya patterns are called different.
