Are the chicks dead?

I helped two out and died but one lived.now i have two babys if the next set pippes i will help. the humidity is at 70% but the membrane if that is what it is called is dry i dont know why.

Apparently the outer membrane should look white and paper like which is fine. I thought mine had tried. If you wet some kitchen towel in warm water and then drape that around the egg all the way apart from the main hole where the beak is then the egg will absorb more water so that if the internal membrane is dry this should help
