Hi. We rescued these 2 from an abuse case. We were told by the rescuers they were both pullets but I just want to make sure since I've never been very good at telling! Thank You! Also breeds, I'm assuming leghorn and naked neck?
(Also they're only in this small run til quarantine is over then they'll be let out)

Well, the white isn't a leghorn. They have white earlobes, and this one is red. Also, a leghorn would have bright yellow legs, and these are whitish to blue. I doubt its a bresse chicken, and probably a mix.
Naked necks, I'm not as familiar with to be able to say if its a cross.

That said, what are you're thoughts on their age? At this point, with nobody laying, age is the best to know. They could both either be pullets just too young to lay, or cockerels, just before they grow in their saddle feathers. I'd give it a couple more weeks and see what happens.

Appreciate the answers guys! I was wondering about the pale legs since I've only seen leghorn with yellow legs. Any ideas what she could be mixed with? It's not important since we have no roosters and she won't be bred, just curious. And y'all this is seriously the sweetest hen I've EVER had. I've only had her 3 days and she already runs and jumps in my lap to fall asleep and cuddles up next to me. She follows me everywhere and LOVES being pet
