Somehow I think I'm not going to get very many eggs. My hens are sporting new head-gear. And I've been feeding Layena since they got big, looked big enough to lay eggs (I got pullets 3/2/10) - is the extra calcium bad for roosters? I have at least 3 chickens with funny head gear, out of 7.

Well.....they look like roosters to me. But even for hens they would still be on the young side for eggs just yet.
 
i would like to add, i am blind sometimes hahahhahahaa

they crow at different ages depending on breeds. I would think they would have started to crow by now

I vote hens. I agree with Elite Silkies though, we need side shots. Most of my hens' combs got very large and bright red right before they started laying. Looks to me your hens are about ready to lay.
