Are wyandotte chicks typically heavier than other chicks of the same age?

Hi! I have a flock of chicks at about 6.5 weeks old of assorted breeds. I only have one SLW, for the first 4 weeks or so she was the smallest in size compared to the rest of her flock but a LOT heavier by a pretty big margins. When you pick her up you can feel that she is a solid dense nugget! her head is now also bigger than everyone else and steadily holds her heaviest weight in the flock.

Is this normal? I understand wyandottes tend to mature faster, but she is still pretty small in size, tho it's possible she is not as fluffy as the others so she seems smaller.

Doubtful. She is only one SLW in a small group. According to APA, an SLW isn’t in the top 5 for mature weight.

From my experience, your chickens have a lot more growing and maturing to do. Nothing yo worry about.
